Regrettably, the article is sound. I am from Russia and I know what I am talking about. For example, I myself have a lot of friends who truly admire Stalin's personality; they think Stalin was the best ruler ever for Russia. This is a horrifying thought for me. For many years there was a class of people who prayed on images of Stalin or Lenin like on actual icons. No doubt, these young men will pray to the same old icons and they want to see someone like Stalin "on the throne".

For better understanding the personality of Stalin I would advise you to read a very interesting and controversial book "The Last Republic" by Viktor Suvorov (a Soviet spy and traitor) http://www.suvorovrezun.com/

We all remember Russia's aggression against Georgia from last year.
Stalin was born in Georgia, more specific in the town of Gori. Exactly this town was the stopping point of the Russian troops marching towards Tblisi.
They say they're "defending" "Russian" citizens from Georgian aggression? More likely they were securing the cradle of their civilization.
